Everything stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. Clearing site data removes saved resumes, so use Export JSON for a backup.

About this tool

Build a resume in your browser: fill in your details, pick one of 12 templates, and watch the page update as you type. Switching template or colour never changes your content, so you can try several looks before you decide.

When you are done, use Download PDF and choose Save as PDF in the print dialog. Your resumes are stored only in this browser. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account. If you plan to apply through an online form, the plain templates in the ATS-friendly group are the safest choice, though no template can guarantee how a particular system reads your file.

How to use it

  1. Start from the example or a blank resume, then fill in your personal details, summary, experience, education and skills.
  2. Write one achievement per line in each job or project, and add numbers where you can.
  3. Open Template and Design to pick a layout, accent colour, font, spacing and paper size (A4 or US Letter), and use Sections to hide or reorder sections.
  4. Click Download PDF, choose Save as PDF, set margins to None and turn on Background graphics if offered.

Frequently asked questions

Is the resume builder free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no paid tier.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Your resume is saved in your browser's local storage on this device only. Clearing your browser data removes them, so use Export JSON to keep a backup.
How do I get a PDF?
Click Download PDF, which opens your browser's print dialog. Choose Save as PDF as the destination, set margins to None and turn on Background graphics if you see that option. The file is named after your resume.
Will an ATS read my resume?
The templates in the ATS-friendly group use a single column and plain, selectable text, which is what most applicant tracking systems handle best. We cannot promise that any resume will pass a particular system. Sidebars and graphics are best avoided when applying through an online portal.
Can I switch templates without losing my content?
Yes. The template only changes how your content is laid out. Everything you typed stays, and some templates simply show sections in a different place.
Can I keep several resumes?
Yes, up to 10 on this device. Use the My resumes menu to switch, duplicate or delete them, and Export JSON or Import JSON to move a resume to another browser.
